Pastor Cynthia Corey
Cynthia Corey joined our congregation as a district superintendent appointment (DSA) in November of 2018. She had previously been in attendance and membership of Manistee United Methodist for several years and originally was a member at Lake Ann United Methodist in 2004. Cynthia has been active in spiritual leadership throughout the years, including Discipleship Evangelism in college ministry while attending Michigan State University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in business administration and obtained her master’s degree in curriculum & education.
For fourteen years Cynthia was involved in leadership with MOPS International (Mothers of preschoolers) while raising her 3 children. She has led Bible studies, prayer groups, led worship for retreats, including offering special music and done public speaking. She has also taught Financial Peace University, parenting classes, DivorceCare and led small group ministry. Outside of the church, she spent five years working with early childhood collaborative efforts and worked for MSU Extension three years including 4-H and Nutrition Education.

Cynthia is almost finished with the License to Preach School for the United Methodist Church and will become a Licensed Local Pastor in November 2019 and then continue a course of study towards being ordained in the future.
